Description

Agat is a singer and performer now making a mark as a songwriter. Having already written songs for herself, as well as for artists like Regine Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, Sarah Geronimo, Jolina Magdangal, Jennylyn Mercado, Rachelle Ann Go, Julie Anne San Jose and almost some of the country’s best singers, Agat is becoming well-known for her songwriting talent. 

Her first shot as a songwriter was when she joined the USA Songwriting competition in 2007 which prides itself on being the world’s leading songwriting event. Agat was the only Asian songwriter that has 2 songs in the finals that year, making her the highest achievement from Asia in the year 2007.

With many solo artists out there doing revivals and singing other people's songs, Agat stands out. Blessed with a sweet, clear voice that falls lightly on the ear, she also has a way with words and music. Her songs are catchy, mellow, and contain refreshingly simple melodic lines and heartfelt lyrics and are usually chosen to be TV show’s theme songs. Agat – the eyes that speak countless words, the voice that hooks a thousand fishes, the song that melts every heart and the music that remains simple but grand.
